Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the resolution by the rate method without increasing the digit number of an A/D converter, by using the difference of absorbance at an optional time during measurement and that of during the measurement, as the data. CONSTITUTION:Either the end point method or the rate method is selected by switching a switch SW1 before the beginning of the measurement. On occasion of the end point method, an absorbance detection output signal A is inputted to an A/D converter 2 through a switch 1 and is sent to an operational circuit 3 to carry out analytical treatment of the absorbance at a point of time of reaction end. On occastion of the rate method, the signal A during measurement is sent to the first sample holding circuit 9 and the second sample holding circuit 11 alternately and its output is given to the input of a differential amplifier 15. Then, the difference signal from the absorbance during measurement is sent to the A/D converter 2 and the analytical treatment of the variation ratio of the absorbance is carried out in the circuit 3.
