Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy designing of a circuit that processes the bipolar signal without using any special circuit, by providing a rectifying circuit and a limiter at the denominator input side of an analog dividing circuit and thus securing an accurate operation regardless of the polarity (positive or negative) of the denominator input signal. CONSTITUTION:An inverse amplifier 20 is connected to a numerator input terminal 17 of an analog dividing circuit 10, and the numerator input data beta is applied to an input terminal 21a of the amplifier 20. At the same time, an arithmetic circuit 22 is connected to a denominator input terminal 16 to process the denominator input data alpha given from an input terminal 21b. Then the data alpha is rectified by a rectifying circuit 30, and the code is inverted to the negative polarity through a code converter 40 that supplies the output of the circuit 30. Then the input to a code converter 60 of the next stage is limited to a prescribed value by a limiter 50 when the data alpha is zero or near zero. After this, the code is inverted to the postive polarity by the converter 60 to be applied to the terminal 16. Thus an accurate operation is possible regardless of the polarity (positive or negative) of the data alpha.
