Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head core superior in wear resistance by forming a coating layer of a wear-resisting substance on a thin magnetic alloy plate. CONSTITUTION:With regard to a magnetic head (a) constituted by laminating and bonding many thin magnetic alloy plates 1, the plate thickness of each plate 1 is 0.01-0.1mm. and on one side or both sides of this plate 1, a coating layer of a wear- resisting substance is formed to a <=1mum thickness. As the plate, a thin plate made of permalloy, alperm, sendust, amorphous metal, etc., is used and both its surface or one surface is coated with a wear-resisting substance, such as Ni, Cr, W, Ni- Cr-Mo-Al alloy, Wc-Co alloy, TiC, TiN, Cr7C3, Al2O3, and SiO2, by wet plating, vacuum-deposition, ion plating, melt-spraying, etc.
