Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a titled detector which operates a male die accurately in a trimming position upon starting of ascending by remotely controlling the moving speed and moving direction of the male die in a trimming press by means of pulse signals.
CONSTITUTION: A controller 14 constituting the displacement detector of a trimming press is provided with a stroke display device 15 displaying digitally the extent of movement of a moving die plate 9 by means of a known arithmetic circuit from the electric pulses detected with a position detector 11. Other than the device 15, a trimming position presetter 16 presetting the start position for trimming work, and an ascending start position presetter 17 presetting the ascending start position of the die plate 9 after the trimming work are provided to the device 14. When the die plate 9 is advanced by the operation of a ram cylinder 6, pulses are taken out by the detector 11, and are digitally displayed in the display device 15 of the device 14 by the arithmetic circuit.
