Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition having remarkably improved abrasion resistance, while keeping the characteristic features of AES resin such as high impact resistance, by compounding an AES resin containing specific amount of a vinyl cyanide compound with a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 99- 70pts.wt. of a rubber-reinforced resin containing 15-35wt%, pref. 20-30wt% vinyl cyanide compound and obtained by the copolymerization of an ethylene. propylen rubber with a monomer mixture composed mainly of an aromatic vinyl compound and a vinyl cyanide compound, with (B) 1-30pts.wt. of a polyamide resin having a melting point of pref. <=250 deg.C, such as nylon 6. The ratio of the AES resin to the polyamide resin is pref. 95:5-75:25, esp. 90:10-80:20.
