Abstract
PURPOSE: To conduct clear dichromatic coloring with superior durability by coating the whole surface of an Al alloy casting with a primary color, planing a part to be mechanically worked until the Al alloy base is exposed, and giving a secondary color to the part by making use of anodic oxidation.
CONSTITUTION: The whole surface of an Al alloy casting for a disk for a car wheel or the like is cleaned by degreasing with an org. solvent such as thinner, coated with a thermosetting resin coating contg. a black pigment by spraying, and backed at 80W120°C for 30W60min. Clip bolt holes 2 and rim attachig holes 3a of a part 7 to be cut are pierced, and the surface of the part 7 is planed to expose the Al alloy base. The part 7 is then cleaned, and an anodic oxide film is formed with sulfuric acid in 5W6μm thickness and colored golden by dipping in a 1.5% soln. of ferric ammonium oxalate or by an AC electrolytic inorg. coloring method. The film is finally sealed with hot water.
