Abstract

PURPOSE: To vulcanize a rubber hose continuously on a small scale and obtain a rubber hose excellent in surface luster and adhesion between layers constituting the hose, by a method wherein an unvulcanized hose is vulcanized after coating it with a heat-resisting resin.
CONSTITUTION: For example, the unvulcanized rubber hose 1 having a reinforcing layer c formed between an inside layer a and an outside layer b by knitting by a knitting machine is uniformly coated with a heat-resisting resin (for example, a 4-methylpentene-1 based polyolefin or the like) by a cross head of an extruder 3 at a high temperature to produce a coated layer 2. The thus coated hose 1 is cooled to a temperature close to the vulcanizing temperature by a temperature regulating tank 4, and then it is vulcanized in a vulcanizing tank 5 by microwaves or the like. Further, after cooling the hose 1, the coated layer 2 is stripped off by a stripper 7 to obtain the objective hose.
