Abstract

PURPOSE: To precisely shift a type bar to a typing position with an extremely simple structure by moving only a pectinated type bar disposed at the position of a guide slot of a frame to a position adapted for typing as desired by a pair of belts.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of arms 3, 3 are projected at both side ends of a type bar 1 having a type 2' at the pectinated portion 2. A pair of supporting discs 4, 4 are rotatably and axially slidably mounted at a rotary shaft 6 suspended by the frames 5, 5 of both sides via a sheathed tube 7, a key 8 and a connecting tube 9. A number of guide slots 10 are radially opened at the discs 4, 4, the arms 3, 3 of the type bar 1 are inserted into the slots 10 via a globe 11, and the bar 1 is telescopically mounted. Only the bar 1 disposed at the positions of the guide slots 13, 13 of the frames 5, 5 are moved to the position adapted for typing as desired by a pair of belts 14, 14.
