Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable quick and exact measurement of spatial length by a method wherein thin wall angled pipes which can be joined to each other in a cap form and the entire length of which can be adjusted are used in combination with a right-angle joint part. CONSTITUTION:The thin-wall pipes having square or polygonal sections are made connectable to each other in a cap manner by pushing so that the entire length thereof is adjusted arbitrarily, while the right-angle joint part is used as occasion calls. The pipes thus prepared are fitted to a body whose length is to be measured through the intermediary of a component consisting of a screw part and a horizontality-adjusting part made of rubber material, and the measurement is conducted by the length of the aforesaid joined pipes. In order to measure the span between the upper and lower pipe ends in joining them together, for instance, first the screw part (1) of the joint part is screwed into the lower pipe end and an angled joined pipe A is joined to a guide groove (3) through the intermediary of a rubbery adjusting part (2).
