Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the following rotation of friction discs at the clutch section and the brake section in a transmission allowing a slight changing of the travelling speed from high to low according to variations in the tilling resistance for farm tractors or the like.
CONSTITUTION: In a transmission 9, a rotating power is produced through a main transmission shaft 7 in direct connection with an output shaft section 12 and then, changed in speed to be transmitted to a subtransmission shaft (not illustrated). In this case, a planetary gear 27 to be meshed with an inner gear 7a being rotated on the input side is provided at te output shaft section 12 and is meshed with a sun gear 28b of a housing 28 externally fitted into the output shaft section 12 in freely rotatable manner. A clutch section 37 is provided to enable the engagement or disengagement between the planetary gear 27 and the sun gear 28b while a brake section 38 is provided to enable the resting or rotation of the sun gear 28b. The clutch section 37 and the brake section 38 are composed of multiple disc type friction discs 31... and 32... respectively and perform operation or control through pistons 35 and 36.
