Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the high hat resistance by making a gromonet worked part to the opening perimeter and the outer perimeter of a gasket facing a bore after it is made up of a gasket member provided with a metal sheet plate member both on the surface and back thereof.
CONSTITUTION: This gasket is composed of a pair of sheet plate members 2 made of metal such as copper and steel, a high heat resistance gasket member such as silica alumina fiber and silica fiber interposed between the sheet plate members 2a and 2b and a gasket member 3, preferably comprising a graphite sheet member having a laminar crystal structure. In the gasket member 3, a part of one sheet plate 2b extends to the side of the other sheet plate member 2a along the perimeter of the opening 1 an the outer perimeter of the gasket and overlaps the surface of the sheet plate member 2a, where a grommet working is applied. Thus, the gasket member being enclosed is retained in an oxidation-free atmosphere.
