Abstract

PURPOSE: To keep a valve body securely in a released state by a method wherein an air hole is connected from the lower part of the valve seat of a safety valve used in a pressure cooker and the like to the upper cover thereof to expand and use the operating force.
CONSTITUTION: In the middle of the bottom of a valve case 2 there is provided a valve hole 9, whereon the valve body 5 of silicone rubber is mounted, and there is provided the air hole 15 on part of the flat part 13 thereof. Moreover, an energizing spring 6 having an adjustable screw 7 is fixed on the upper part of the valve body 5. The valve body 5 has a valve part 11, a hanging part 12 on the outer circumference part and there are provided radial ribs 14 on the flat part. When the inner pressure in the pressure cooker exceeds a preset value and rises, the steam coming in through the valve hole 9 lifting the valve body 5, accumulates under the flat part 13, pushes an energizing spring 6 and jets from the air hole 15 to an exhaust hole 16. In this manner, precise operating pressure is obtained by the setting and controlling of pushing and energizing force alone. Once an operation starts, the force is expanded and keeps the valve body certainly in a release state.
