Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the system alteration and extension easy, and to economize the installation of great number of terminals, by providing original readout and print functions in a bundle at a terminal device and functions of other control and coding and the like separately and concentrically. CONSTITUTION:A terminal device is provided with facsimile original readout function and print function only at a bundle, and reception/transmission of data is made via a transfer clock supply device 36 by a terminal extension 35 and one scanning buffer 37. The buffer 37 is sequentially written in from the terminal device at transmission and the data is written in a magnetic disc 39 when one scanning is finished. When the data for one page's share is formed on a disc 39, if the addressing is made within the device, output is made to the buffer 37 and if it is made to a remote location, output is made to a buffer 41 and transmission is made with controllers 40 and 42. In case of transmission of video information, coding is made with the buffer 41 and the controller 42, and transmission is made from an FIFO buffer 44 according to the speed of MODEM as specified.
