Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the occupation space of a hinge arm in a trunk room by mounting the hinge arm supporting the trunk room, piercing a through the reinforcing plate of a rear strut housing. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing plates 10 and 10' are provided on the side of a rear strut housing for dividing a trunk room 8 and a car room to form a partition chamber 23. The reinforcing plate 10 for separating the partition chamber 23 and the trunk room 8 is provided with a through hole through which a hinge arm 3 is arranged. Brackets 2 for supporting the hinge arm 3 are fixedly mounted with a fastener 28 in the state as erected across an upper flange 27 of the reinforcing plate inside the car room and a parcel shelf 1. In the opening or closing of a trunk lid 5, the arm 3 projecting to the room 8 from the reinforcing plate 10 can be reduced in the occupation space thereby expanding the effective space of the trunk room 8.
