Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable testig for resistance to high pressure by putting an O ring into a circular groove formed of a cut part of mortar lining, by pressing a test band thereon to form a sealed space and by preventing thereby liquid from penetrating into the liming and leaing outside. CONSTITUTION:In an inside lining 14 are formed narrow circular cut parts 15a and 15b in positions apart at an appropriate distance from the recessed surface 12a of the inner end of a receiving port and from the end surface 13a of an insertion port, whereby the circular groove 20 for fitting the O ring is constituted. The testing for pressure resistance of a seal is performed in such a manner that the O ring 21 is put into the circular groove 20, that the test band 25 is arranged so that both side parts of an elastic sealing band 22 are opposed to the O ring 21, that the elastic sealing 22 of a suppoting frame 23 is pressed on the inside circumference of the O ring 21 by a pressing device 24, that pressure water is injected through a hole for applying pressure into the sealed space enclosed by the inside surface of the receiving port 12, the outside surface of the insertion port 13, a packing 17, the O ring 21 and the elastic sealing band 22 and that the presence of the fall of pressure is found.
