Abstract

PURPOSE: To omit any propjections on an internal surface of a pipe so as to make the transportation of a liquid smooth and obviate stagnation of any foreign matter in the pipe, by winding a flexible elongated member helically into a pipe with opposite edges engaged to form a fitting ridge on the exterior surface of the pipe, and fitting the ridge into a clamping means having a fitting groove to clamp it.
CONSTITUTION: The elongated member 1 of a rigid synthetic resin is wound helically into a pipe having a desired diameter D with engaging parts 2, 3 engaged to form the fitting ridge 4 on the outer surface of the pipe. The fitting ridge 4 is fitted into the fitting groove 8 in the clamping means 6, and a hooking anchor 7 is engaged with a wedge-shaped anchor 5 to clamp it securely. Since the fitting ridge is formed on the outside of the pipe, when it is used as a pipe for transporting a liquid, there is no projection on the inner side of the pipe: that is favorable to improve the capability for the transportation, and any foreign matters would not linger in the pipe. In addition if a soft synthetic resin has been previously applied to cover the engaging parts, the air-tightness and water-tightness will be further improved, and there is no risk of leakage of any liquid.
