Abstract

PURPOSE: To firmly stick a silicone film on the surface of a molded rubber article so as to restrict the adherence and give the surface good smoothness, by adding a crosslinking agent to a silicone cure rubber having OH or OCH3 groups, and performing surface treatment on the surface of the molded rubber article.
CONSTITUTION: A crosslinking agent is added to a silicone crude rubber having OH or OCH3 groups in the molecules, and the surface of the molded rubber article is coated. As a polydimethyl polysiloxane curde rubber having OH or OCH3 groups in the molecules are mentioned simethyl siloxane high polymers having construction units represented by the formulaIor II, which polymers generally have an average molecular weight of about one to hundred million. As for the crosslinking agent, a crosslinking agent to which organo siloxane polymers can be additionally crosslinked, such as methylhydrogene siloxane polymers (having an average molecular weight of 1 one to hundred millions), and organo alkoxy silanes is preferable.
