Abstract

PURPOSE: To absorb impact force during starting and to enhance the durability of starting unit by installing in a lapping and parallel manner a multi-friction plate mounted to a spline member of an inner gear and a multi-friction plate mounted to a spline member of a pinion axis.
CONSTITUTION: A pinion 11' is formed on the end of an axis 4 for an eccentric rotor 2 which rotates inside an air pressure motor A, and is engaged to an inner gear 11 for speed reduction on the outer periphery. The inner gear 11 is shaft- supported to a ball bearing 72, and is provided with a spline member 16 formed on the end. A pinion D connected to a ring gear 15 coupled with the engine is fastened to a shaft 14 and on the end is formed a spline member 17. Multi- friction plates 18 and 18' are mounted to both splines 16 and 17 respectively, thereby absorbing the impat force when both splines 16 and 17 are connected.
