Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect a power transistor by cooperating a switch for maintaining the input voltage of a V/F converter constant at the time of interrupting a power switch with a power switch. CONSTITUTION:Since a switch 11 is opened simultaneously when a power switch 2 is opened, the charge stored in a capacitor 5 is maintained constant without discharge. Thus, the input power voltage of a V/F converter 7 is maintained at a constant value, and when the switches 2, 11 are again closed, the voltage of the same frequency as that when the switch 2 is opened is applied to a motor 10 irrespective of the value of a variable resistor 5. Accordingly, when the switch 2 is again closed, a voltage causing the damage of the power transistor 9 due to the faster speed than the stator speed of the motor 10 is not generated.
