Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform spot welding of multiple points with less power feed installations by providing plural stationary electrodes on a jig base and providing plural welding guns provided with moving electrodes that can be pressurized around the jig base in a multispot welding machine. CONSTITUTION:The work W is placed on the plural stationary electrodes 5 provided on a jig base 4 in the floor part of a gate type housing 1, and plural welding guns 7 corresponding to the plural dotting positions to be spot-welded are turned by an air cylinder 11 and the work W is fixed and held under pressure to the electrodes 5 by the movable electrodes 10 thereof. Next, a robot 14 is operated to oppose a pair of contact guns to each of stationary terminals 6 and movable terminals 12 successively. Further, a clamping arm 18 is opened and closed to bring a contact terminal 19 into contact successively with both terminals 6, 12 and electric power is fed from a welding transformer 21, whereby multiple dotting points are spot-welded successively.
