CONSTITUTION:3-Phase double-throw disconnectors 9 are respectively provided on a main circuit and an exciting circuit of a synchronous machine 7, and at the time when the synchronous machine 7 is conducting its drying operation, the synchronous machine 7 is made to be shortcircuited by a 3-phase shortcircuiting device 10 operating the 3-phase double-throw disconnectors 9, and at the same time, an exciting device 6 is supplied with power by an in-plant transformer 3, and at the time when the synchronous machine 7 is conducting generating operation, the 3-phase double- throw disconnectors 9 are switched to supply the exciting device 6 with output of the synchronous machine 7. It is possible, by doing so, to execute switching between the synchronous machine and the generating operation with safety and rapidity.
