Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a correcting member suitable for in a lifting-off manner correcting erroneous printing of non-impact type thermal printer by forming on a basic material a coating layer which is obtained by mixing wax and thermoplastic resin soluble with wax at a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) wax not less than 20wt% and (B) thermoplastic resin soluble with the wax and not less than 5%, the mixture having no adhesive power at room temperature but having adhesive power at temperature not less than 50 deg.C, is applied on a basic material such as a polyester film to form a coating layer in a thickness 1-20mu so that the desired heat sensitive correcting member is obtained. Microcrystalline wax or parallel wax is preferable as the wax, while as the thermoplastic resin, such material is preferable as having a glass transition point not higher than 40 deg.C, tensile strenght not less than 20kg/cm<2>, and breaking elongation not less than 50% (e.g., ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer).
