Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the irregular state of bars when they are horizontally conveyed at prescribed intervals, by finding out the number of the bars which pass through the unit interval.
CONSTITUTION: Bars 1 such as electric parts are put one by one on the links of two conveyor chains 2 so that the bars are conveyed on the two chains. A detector comprising light emitters 3a, 3b and light receivers 4a, 4b is provided between the chains 2 to detect the irregularity of the positions of the bars 1aW1f. The outputs of detection circuits 6a, 6b composed of the light emitters and receivers and counters 5a, 5b are processed through a first judgment circuit 7 and a second judgment circuit 8 to find out whether or not the bars 1aW1f are conveyed at proper intervals. The irregular state of the bars, if any, is properly pointed out to facilitate the correction of the irregular state.
