Abstract

PURPOSE: To support the tank load uniformly with supporting surfaces of small area, by a method wherein a filling material containing neoprene latex and the like is hardened between the upper surfaces of respective tank holders and timbers.
CONSTITUTION: A tank 2 is supported by supporting structural bodies 3 provided on the hull floor 11 at a plural portions. Each supporting structural body 3 comprises a holder 31 secured to the hull floor 11 and a timber 33 placed on the holder 31. In order to completely support the lower end surface of the tank 2, wedges 6 are driven between the holder 31 and the timber 33 in supporting so as to lift the timber 33 to closely contact with the lower end surface of the tank 2. The gap produced between the holder 31 and the timber 33 is filled with a filling material obtained by compounding neoprene latex, cement, aggregate and the like together in order to support the lower end surface of the tank 2 in complete conditions.
