Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、端部外面に管用テーパおねじ等を加工する加
工面を有する管継手の鋳造粗材、すなわち加工前の半製
品に関するものである。
鋳造粗材の堰破断跡の研削等による除去工程を省略する
ためには、堰を加工面に設け、加工時に取代と共に堰残
存部の突起を切削除去しなければならない。
しかしながら、管用テーパおねじ等の外径加を施す管継
手の場合、堰破断時に加工面に食込んで破断する深折れ
を生じたり、破断部の突起が大きいと加工時に偏心等を
生じたりする問題がある。
本発明は上記した問題のない管継手の鋳造粗材を提供す
ることを目的とするものである。
本発明による管継手の鋳造粗材は、端部外面の管用テー
パおねじ等を加工する加工面に部分的に径を拡大した環
状の駄肉を設け、該駄肉部に堰を設けたことを特徴とす
るものである。
以下実施例をあげて説明する。
管継手粗材の端部１には外面に管用テーパおねじを加工
すべき加工面２が形成されており、該加工面のほぼ中央
に部分的に径を拡大した環状の駄肉３が設けられている
。
押湯４からの溶湯の流入口である堰５は、その断面が最
小に絞られて、駄肉３の外周面と接続している。
該接続部Ｑ−Ｑが接定破断面となる。駄肉３の外周面に
堰５の最小断面部分を接続することにより、鋳造径設定
破断面Ｑ−Ｑに沿って堰を破断することが容易であり、
加工面２の加工時にも駄肉４によって負荷が円周一様に
増加するので偏心を生じない。
また、深折れが生じても、第２図に破線Ｒで示すように
、駄肉３内で吸収できる。
以上説明したように、本発明は、外面に管用テーパおね
じ等の加工面を有する管継の鋳造粗材として好適なもの
である。

の部分断面とした平面図、第２図は同じく側面図である

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ 端部外面の加工面に部分的に径を拡大した環状の駄
    肉を設け、該駄肉部に堰を設けたことを特徴とする管継
    手の鋳造粗材。
