Abstract

PURPOSE:To make certain the assessment of quality for gold bullions by measuring its density by the measurement of weight for a bullion in air and in water and measuring electrically its electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:1,000 grams of a gold plate (about 10mm. thick, about 5.2cm wide, and about 1.3cm long) with purity over 99.99% and an alloy of gold-platinum- steel with the same weight and a plated lead (plating thickness: about 1mm.) of the same shape are measured for their density and electric conductivity. The density is obtained by measuring the weight of the metal in air and water, and the electric conductivity is measured by attaching an insulated coil through which 5kHz AC current is passed to the metal plate and measuring the counter electromotive force developed by eddy current generated on the plate. With this method the density of a gold bullion can be measured simply and quickly and flase and true gold bullions can be surely separated.

It is a gold bullion Fi^ price, and it is a certain item sold in the market in units of 5 gram. As a friend, it is necessary to measure carefully and accurately. Furthermore, since gold bullion transactions fluctuate depending on the gold price, dealers who buy and sell gold bullion need to do so quickly.

Due to these circumstances, gold rights handlers visually inspect gold bullion to see whether it is engraved or gold-colored.
It was measured and judged. However, as technology has developed and the market has expanded, it has become necessary to quickly and easily distinguish between real and fake gold bullion.

This is because it is difficult to make a 90% judgment, where it is easy to obtain alloys such as lead that are thickly plated and have approximately the same density as round gold.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned drawbacks, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a method for determining whether metal is a metal that can be determined simply and quickly.

This invention is a method for determining a gold bullion containing mold by measuring the density or specific gravity and electrical conductivity of a gold bullion containing 1-99 or more gold metals.

That is, this invention measures the weight of gold bullion in the air and the amount of gold in water (t), and has a tube with high electrical conductivity, which is unique to electric bodies. In addition to *K<, if the purity of gold is 99- or higher, a reliable determination can be made. Therefore, density 119 prevents the ml of determination that occurs when specific gravity and electrical conductivity are measured alone. I can do things.

T-measurement was carried out. The density is determined by determining the weight in air and the weight in water t#I, and the electrical conductivity is determined by passing a 5 KHz alternating current fiL and measuring the back electromotive force due to the eddy current generated in 11L by applying an insulated coil to a plate. The results shown on the right side of the table below were obtained.
