In conventional methods, weft yarns are secured by forming a weave loop with the weave yarn or by forming a weave loop with a captured yarn and winding it around the weft yarn.

The braided end portion 14 includes a hook portion 16 and a groove portion 18, and the groove portion 18 extends diagonally with respect to the binding needle. The terminal end 17 of the hook portion is located within the groove 18 and below the upper surface 19 of the stapler, so that it lies on the upper surface of the stapler and extends substantially perpendicular to the axis of the stapler. The existing weft threads slide along the binding needles and reach the terminal braid part 14 without being captured by the hook parts. However, weft yarn 2
0 exists at an angle to the staple 12 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the weft yarn 20 falls into the groove 18 as it is pulled out along the staple toward its terminal end. , and is therefore captured by the hook portion 16. As a result, it becomes possible to push out the binding needle 12 into the loop to collect the weft yarn, and further to pull out the captured weft yarn from inside the loop and separate it from the loop.

As shown in the drawing, the binding needles 12 are set to reciprocate in the axial direction parallel to the ends of the woven fabric 30. The binding needles 12 are arranged so as to pass above one weft thread 32 moving in the uniaxial direction, and this weft thread 32 is set so as to be pushed by the weft thread insertion needle 39. In order to ensure that the section 40 of the weft yarn extending from the end of the woven fabric to the binding needle 39 passes at a sufficiently oblique angle to the axis of the binding needle to ensure that the section 40 is located within the groove 18, Yarn deflection finger 42 (
(not shown), and this deflecting finger 42 is preferably connected to a flattening device of a weaving machine, and this flattening device is movably installed and engages with the weft yarns to thereby stabilize the weaving machine. As the wefting occurs, the weft threads are moved in the direction of the warp threads, so that portions 40 of the weft threads extend at an acute angle from the edges of the fabric.

1 is knitted. The captured thread 50 is guided by a thread guide needle 54. The thread guiding needle 54 is arranged against the edge of the woven fabric 30,
This causes the capture thread to extend at an acute angle from the edge of the fabric.
