Abstract

PURPOSE:To save energy in a way not to use a large quantity of auxiliary fuel, by a method wherein a rest part of a dehydrated cake is dried in an evaporating and drying process where oil is used as a fluidized medium and the dried cake is fed as an auxiliary fuel to said incinerating process. CONSTITUTION:A part of dehydrated cake 2 in a dehydrating tank 1 is fed to an evaporating and drying process having a multiutility can 3, and the rest to an incinerating process provided with a fluidized furnace 4. The multiutility can 3 is a device where oil is used as a fluidizing medium of sludge (the dehydrated cake 2), and the sludge is evaporated and dried under a reduced pressure. The dried cake 5 produced therein is fed to said fluidized furnace 4, and is used as an auxiliary fuel for incinerating the dehydrated cake 2 fed to the fluidized furnace.
