Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve easily the accuracy of dimension of each part of a titled case, especially the center opening, by forming case sides in the shape of octagon so as to form the case sides as the reference plane of the center opening of the case front. CONSTITUTION:The outer sides of the case 30 is formed as an octagon. The case front surface 30a is formed into a spherical surface having a large radius of curvature, and the center is provided with the center opening 31 extending toward the running direction of a magnetic recording medium. In forming this, one outer side of the octagonal case, i.e., one side surface 32 in parallel with the running direction of the magnetic recording medium, is designated as the reference plane and the processing is done by determining distances L, L'... from this plane. 書込読出用のコアの前部両側部に消去用コアを配置し、
これを釦形のケースあるいはホルダー内に一体に組込ん
だ形式の磁気ヘッドが用いられている。この場合、消去
用コアの磁気ギャップ位置な書込読出用シアのギャップ
位置に対して磁気媒体(磁気ディスク)の走行方向の下
流側にずらせて配置し、この消去用コアによシ前記書込
読出用コアによって形成されたディスク面上のトラック
の周方向縁部を整えるようにしている。このような磁気
ヘッドとして、消去用コアの構成の相違により、従来か
らトンネルイレーズ方式あるいはスト2ドル方式とよば
れるものが知られている。第1図は従来のストラドル方
式の磁気ヘッドの前′部(磁気ディスク対向fill)
を一部分分解して示した正面断面図であり、第2図は第
1図の磁気ヘッドのディスク対向面即ちヘッド前面を示
した図である。なお、磁気ディスクの走行方向は第2図
に矢印で示す方向であり、したがって第1図はディスク
走行方向に対向する方向からみた磁気ヘッドの中央断面
図即ち第2図の1−1線に沿った断面図である。例ラド
前部の釦形のケース10の前11jK円形の穴10aが
あけられ、この穴10aに円形の非磁性スライダーが埋
込まれ、このスライダにディスク走行方向にのびた細長
の通し孔2が穿けられている。この通し孔2からヘッド
前面へ書込読出用コア3が露出している。書込読出用コ
アの両側部に、第1図に示すような前部に向って横巾が
