Description

【図面の簡単な説明】
第１図は排気管を取り付けた発光管製作用の石英ガラス
からなる管の側面図である。第２図は第１゛図の管を用
いて作製した発光管の一方の端部の主電極の周辺の外側
表面に石英ガラスウールからなる囲繞帯を被覆してなる
本考案の一実施例のメタルハライドランプの発光管の、
囲繞帯の一部を切欠した側面図である。第３図は第２図
の発光管を外管球内に組み込んだメタルハライドランプ
の側面図である。第４図は、本考案の一実施例と比較例
の各メタルハライドランプの点灯試験における初期およ
び点灯時間経過後の光束値を％で示したグラフである。

Claims (1)

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 両端に電極を封止し、ハロゲン化金属および水銀および
    始動ガスを封入してなる発光管において、該発光管は管
    端をあらかじめ絞り加工することなくプレスシールによ
    り電極を封止し、該発光管の少なくとも一方の端部の電
    極周辺の外側表面を石英ガラスウールからなる囲繞帯に
    より被覆したものであって、発光管の内径をφ（ＮＩＬ
    ）、発光管の管壁負荷をＺ（Ｗ／ＣＪ）としたとき、石
    英ガラスウールからなる囲繞帯の量ｒｎ、（−ｇ）は下
    記の式（１）、５０≦、５　ＸＺ≦９０　　　　−−−
    −−−（１）を満足する量である発光管からなることを
    特徴とするメタルハライドランプ。
