Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove nits, maggots, etc. of filter bed flies in sludge and to suppress the generation of the filter bed flies, by intermittently interrupting purification of organic waste water, and bringing an alkaline solution into contact with a trickling filter bed at this time. CONSTITUTION:Purification of organic waste water is intermittently interrupted, and an alkaline solution of pH9-14, preferably 10-12, containing caustic soda, slaked lime, soda ash or the like is brought into contact with a trickling filter bed on this occasion. By this treatment, nits, maggots and chrysalides of filter bed flies in sludge are removed with the exfoliation of the sludge surface, so that the generation of the filter bed flies is suppressed. For instance, the supply of waste water was interrupted, and a caustic soda solution adjusted at pH10 was circulated for one hour through the trickling filter bed. As a result, a part of sludge was peeled off. Operation was then restarted. The generation of the filter bed flies was suppressed over 38 days.

Currently, the biological treatment methods for organic wastewater such as industrial wastewater and domestic wastewater that are commonly practiced are represented by the activated sludge method and the trickling filter method. There are many inconveniences such as sludge treatment. On the other hand, 1, water sprinkler FIF. This method has been widely used in recent years because it is easy to operate and the processing efficiency has improved due to the development of filling materials.

Since this trickling filter method is also an aerobic treatment, it is essential to maintain the living environment of microorganisms in an aerobic state at all times, but it is difficult to maintain an aerobic atmosphere for a long time. If this is disrupted, processing efficiency will naturally decrease, and N filter bed flies and bad odors will occur, resulting in a single delay in work having a negative impact on the work environment and social environment. There are two types of trickling filters: high-speed trickling filters and standard trickling filters.1 In the case of high-speed trickling filters in particular, in order to prevent a decrease in treatment efficiency,1 generally, the temperature of the wastewater to be treated is set at 80-80°C. Because the temperature is raised to 40'C, filter flies occur throughout the year. As mentioned above, the occurrence of filter bed flies is closely related to whether the living environment of microorganisms is maintained in an aerobic state, but there are also other complicated factors at play, and until now there are no solutions to this problem. Not discovered. The present inventors have conducted extensive research on suppressing the generation of filter flies in the trickling filter method and have completed the present invention.

That is, 1. The present invention provides a method for treating organic wastewater using a trickling filter method, characterized in that the treatment of the wastewater is continuously stopped, and 1. at that time, an alkaline solution is brought into contact with the trickling filter bed. This is a method to prevent the occurrence of flies.

Mechanistically, the present invention is characterized in that by washing the sludge on the surface of a trickling filter module with an alkaline solution, the eggs, larvae, and pupae of floor flies in the sludge are removed as the sludge surface peels off. This will prevent the occurrence of bed flies.

When the treatment of the present invention is carried out immediately, no generation of filter bed flies is observed for a considerable period of time. The period of time is not uniformly determined depending on the composition of the wastewater, climate, etc., but no occurrence of Haruka floor flies is observed for about 40 days.

According to the method of the present invention, since the filter flies are removed from the sludge surface while they are still in the state of eggs, larvae, and pupae, the generation of filter flies can be suppressed, the working environment is greatly improved, and the treatment efficiency is improved. The present invention is extremely advantageous for the industrial sector because it can also be recovered in a very short time.
