  1. タンク１に対して回動支点を中心として回動可能に設け
    られたアーム３と、該アー、ム３の回動端に設けられ、
    液面に応じて移動して前記アーム３を回動せしめるフロ
    ート（４又は４′）と、前記アーム３の回動によって摺
    動子６２が駆動される摺動抵抗器６とを備え、前記フロ
    ー）（４又は４′）はその液面下の部分に該フロート（
    ４又は４′）の移動方向に対して交差する方向に突出す
    る鍔状部材（４１又は４１′）を有することを特徴とす
    る液面検出装置。
