さくすれば止水能力は充分であり、寿命も長いのである
が挿入・抜取に大きな力を必要とし、長期間の間には流
体管路、操作管との間で固着を起すなと、取扱いに不便

本発明にかかる水閘の作用を説明すると、繊毛が弾性表

においても極めて良好な慴動が行なわれる。抜取も容易
に繊毛が逃げるためわずかな力で引き抜きが行なえ、弾
性表面材に跡が残ることがない。また管路内の側面との
間に、あるいは外径の異物等との間に密着し難い個所が
できても、繊毛が移行してその部分を埋めるため、水漏
を防ぐことができ、繊毛間の微細な隙間には粘性菌のゼ
リー状物質による漏水阻止部が形成される。なお、実施
例においては止水時に弾性表面材22に静水圧力がかか
るほと水圧のかかる面における弾性表面材22と支持体
18との間の密閉した内部空間26が圧縮され、逆に内
部空間のその他の側面および底面にはこの圧縮圧力が伝
えられて弾性表面材22が膨張するため流体管路12内
面と止水栓が密着する方向に圧力が作用し静水圧がかか
ればかかるほど止水が完全となる。この場合において円

用に加えて弾性表面材と内部空間が有する大きな弾性変
形能力によって容易に変形し抜取を行なうことができる
。しかもこの場合において、止水栓のクリアランスを若
干大きめとしておいても止水能力の低下は全く見られず
、抜取を容易とすることができる。ま1こ耐用年数を増
加し止水能力を高めるために比較的硬質の弾性表面材を
採用した場合であっても抜取が容易であって使用年数と
使い易さを両立させることができる。この他、止水栓の
浮」ニリを左右に拡がり管壁に圧着すると同時に下膨れ
形状に膨張した弾性表面材および糸状体が阻止すること
ともなる。なお弾性表面材の厚みは厚すぎると膨張が少
な過ぎ、薄すぎると耐久性が損うため内部空間の大きさ
等をも考慮して最適設計を行なう必要があるが、繊毛は
この設計した余裕を持たせることに寄与することができ
