Abstract

PURPOSE:To stir electrolyte by means of only the wiring between a lead wire and an operational part, without causing any evaporation of the electrolyte, by installing an electrolyte stirrer which is provided with a magnetic fluid and a plural number of vertically-arranged magnets. CONSTITUTION:An electrolyte stirrer 3 is provided with a plural number of vertically-arranged ring-like magnets 4, a cylindrical exterior member 5 in which the magnets 4 are buried, a magnetic fluid 6 provided on the inner wall of the member 5, and an elastic coat film 7 which is provided over the inner wall of the member 5 so that the fluid 6 is coated with the elastic coat film 7. Therefore, when the magnets 4 are magnetized in order from the lower one by supplying electricity through lead wires 8, the fluid 6 forms cohesive parts by being attracted by the magnetized magnets 4, and an undulation formed on the elastic coat film 7 gradually rises. In accordance with above undulation, an electrolyte 2 moves upward along the inner wall of the member 5. As a result, the electrolyte 2 flows in from an lower opening 9 of the member 5 and flows out from an upper opening 10, and is stirred.

Conventionally, there is a type of electrolytic solution stirring device used by woodcutter, for example, which is used in batteries for submarines, and which blows air and stirs the electrolytic solution with the air. However, this type of electrolyte stirring device has the drawbacks of increasing the frequency of water replenishment because it promotes evaporation of water in the electrolyte, and requires piping equipment. Furthermore, with other batteries, recovery charging after discharge may be performed using a minute current, and in this case it takes a long time to resolve the electrolyte concentration imbalance, but in such cases, air is blown into the electrolyte. It was not suitable for stirring.

The present invention has been made to solve these drawbacks, and includes a storage battery with a plurality of electromagnets arranged in the vertical direction, and an electrolyte stirring system in which a magnetic fluid is arranged so as to be attracted to a magnetized one of the electromagnets. It is characterized by being equipped with a device.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. 1 showing one embodiment thereof. In the drawings, 1 is a battery case housing a storage battery element, 2 is an electrolyte, and 6 is an electrolyte stirring device. The electrolyte stirring device includes a plurality of annular electromagnets 4 provided vertically, a cylindrical exterior 5 in which the electromagnets 4 are embedded, a magnetic fluid 6 disposed on the inner wall of the exterior 5, and a cylindrical exterior 5 in which the electromagnets 4 are buried. An elastic covering film 7 is provided on the inner wall of the outer IA 5 so as to cover the magnetic fluid 6.

That is, by supplying electricity through the lead wire 8, the electromagnet 4
When the magnetic fluid 6 is sequentially magnetized starting from the lower part, the magnetic fluid 6 is attracted to the magnetized electromagnet 4 and forms a cohesive part, so that the undulations formed on the elastic envelope film 7 are sequentially As the electrolytic solution 2 rises, the electrolytic solution 2 moves upward from below along the inner wall of the exterior 5. This creates a flow that enters the electrolytic solution 2 through the lower opening 9 of the outer casing 5 and exits from the upper opening 10, thereby stirring the electrolytic solution 2.

In addition, the present invention provides a storage battery equipped with an electrolyte stirring device that does not involve evaporation of the electrolyte and is operated only by wiring to the operating part using lead wires, and has great industrial value. It's expensive.
