That is, in the present invention, a thread consisting of a composite fiber in which a plurality of ultrafine fibers having a single fiber denier of less than 1.0 denier are bonded is exposed on the inner surface, and a thread made of a composite fiber having a single fiber denier of 1.0 denier or more is exposed on the inner surface. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing knitted socks, which is characterized in that the sock is knitted by forming the bottom part by plate knitting so that the threads are exposed on the outer surface, and then the composite fiber is subjected to ultra-fine treatment. The invention will be explained in detail.

The composite fiber used in the present invention, in which multiple ultrafine fibers with a single fiber denier of less than 1.0 denier are combined, is made by composite spinning different polymers 1 and 2 into a sea-island shape, as shown in Figure 1. Fibers or different polymers 3 as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3
, 4 laminated in multiple layers, etc. can be effectively used.

Figures 1, 2, and 3 are cross-sectional views showing examples of the cross sections of composite fibers for obtaining ultrafine fibers used in the method of the present invention. In order to dissolve and remove the polymer forming the sea-like structure, in the case shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, hot water treatment and mechanical treatment such as fir, etc.
Alternatively, one of them may be subjected to a treatment such as peeling off the bonded portion 5, and both are performed after knitting to make ultrafine fibers with a single fiber denier of less than 1.0 denier.

The type of ultrafine fibers is not particularly limited as long as the above-mentioned composite fibers can be obtained, and polyamide fibers, polyester fibers, polypropylene fibers, etc. can be effectively used.

It should be noted that with composite fibers as shown in Figure 2, it is difficult to make thin fibers of about 0.4 denier or less due to equipment limitations, and even if they can be made, the mechanical properties of the obtained fibers are inferior, so multilayer fibers are not suitable. In the case of laminated conjugate fibers, a structure having minute hollow portions 6 (hollowness ratio 0.1 to 15%) as shown in FIG. 3 and laminated in an annular multilayer type is preferable.

The method of the present invention involves knitting using such composite fiber yarns and yarns made of synthetic fibers having a single fiber denier of 1.0 denier or more, and by processing after knitting, the single fiber denier obtained from the composite fibers is 1.0 or more. A plating knitted structure was used for the bottom part, in which threads made of ultrafine fibers with a denier of less than .0 were exposed on the inner surface, and threads made of synthetic fibers with a single fiber denier of 1.0 denier or more were exposed on the outer surface. It is something.

In order to obtain such a plating knitting structure, when knitting socks using a sock knitting machine having two or more yarn feeders, the composite fiber yarn described above is supplied to the side closer to the needle tip in knitting the bottom part. However, yarns made of synthetic fibers having a single fiber denier of 1.0 denier or more can be supplied to the part near the needle stem and knitted.

FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram showing an example of the yarn feeding method when knitting the plating structure used in the method of the present invention. As shown in FIG. The knitting is performed by supplying a composite fiber yarn 7 which can be made extremely fine through processing, and a yarn 8 made of a synthetic fiber having a monofilament denier of 1 denier or more closer to the needle stem.

As shown in FIG.
Since the yarn 8 made of synthetic fibers of denier or more is formed into a stitch in which the threads 8 are exposed on the surface, the inside of the bottom of the socks obtained by the method of the present invention has the threads exposed on the outside of the bottom as described above. Regardless of the length, the ultra-fine fibers are exposed, so they exhibit excellent water absorption through capillary action, and provide a comfortable wearing experience due to their soft texture. On the other hand, the outside of the bottom, which is subject to strong external forces such as friction, It can be constructed from synthetic fiber threads with high strength and excellent durability.

In particular, since the above-mentioned composite fiber yarn is made ultra-fine by processing after knitting, the ultra-fine fiber is less affected by twisting, regardless of whether or not the composite fiber yarn supplied at the time of knitting is twisted. This results in a state in which the fibers are less constrained, allowing a structure with many inter-fiber voids to be formed, thereby further increasing the water absorption caused by the capillary phenomenon described above.

In addition, in the socks produced by the method of the present invention, the composite fiber threads are made extremely fine by the treatment after knitting, so there is no need to handle the ultrafine fibers during knitting, and the socks can be made using ultrafine synthetic fibers very easily. It is a material that can be made into socks of excellent quality.
