    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 用紙の搬送方向とは直角方向に移動するように設けられ
    、かつ印字ヘッドを搭載したキャリッジを有するプリン
    タ装置において、このキャリッジを検出器を設け、プラ
    テン上の上記用紙の有無を検出し、該用紙の無いことが
    検出されたときには印字動作を停止するようにしたこと
    を特徴とするプリンタ装置。
