Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sticking agent for the capturing of rodents, having stable stickness independent of the temperature change, and free from flowing tendency, by compounding ultra-fine anhydrous silica to heated polybutene, and heating the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Ultra-fine powder of anhydrous silica is added to heated polybutene, and the mixture is heated to obtain a sticking agent for the capturing of rodents. The agent exhibits the stickiness at least in the range of +60--5 deg.C. Addition of a small amount of ultra-fine powder of high-purity anhydrous silica to a polybutene develops the high viscosity over a wide temperature range by the action of the crosslinking hydrogen bond of the silanol group of the anhydrous silica.
