源と限流装置と熱陰極形放電ランプとを直列接続すると
ともに、前記放電ランプのフィラメントの非電源側に放
電ランプの再点弧電圧以上の高電圧を発生する再点弧手
段を並列接続し、前記低周波低圧電源の各半サイクル毎
に、前記低周波低圧電源から前記限流装置を介して再点
弧手段に供給される間欠電流によって前記限流装置に蓄
積されるエネルギおよび再点弾手段が発生する高電圧に
よって放電ランプを再点弧せしめ、各半サイクルの後半
期間では再点弧手段が高電圧の発生を停止して、前記低
周波低圧電源のみで放電ランプを点灯維持するようにし
た放電灯点灯装置において、 前記放電ランプの両端のフィラメントが、熱容量の大き
いフィラメント部と熱容量の小さいフィラメント部とを
直列接続して構成されていることを特徴とする放電灯点
