Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain an apparatus capable of coating synthetic resin on one side of a metal plate without impairing the plate by a method wherein the metal plate is fed between an extrusion die and a cylinderical roll to coat synthetic resin on the plate with the extrusion die. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical roll 4 is rotatably disposed below an extrusion die 2 such as a T die in a manner that a shaft 9 of the roll 4 extends in parallel to an extrusion opening 3. The roll 4 is widthwisely formed on its outer peripheral surface with a recessed groove 10 of a depth corresponding to a thickness of a metal plate 5 and also formed at both side ends with deeper recessed parts 11. After being heated by a heater 7, the metal plate 5 fits into the recessed groove 10 between the die 2 and the roll 4. With this, one side of the metal plate is coated with synthetic resin 1 extruded from the extrusion opening 3 in the form of a sheet and both side ends of the other side surface are also coated with the synthetic resin which has entered in the recessed parts 11 while turning round both side ends of the metal plate.
