Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a sliding contact material with increased hardness, improved welding resistance and wear resistance by adding a specified percentage of Si+Zr to an Au alloy material contg. a prescribed percentage each of Pt, Ag, Cu and Ni. CONSTITUTION:A sliding contact material is obtd. by adding 0.5-5wt% Si+Zr to an Au alloy material consisting of, by weight, 69-71% Au, 4-6% Pt, 9-11% Ag, 13-15% Cu and 0.5-1.5% Ni without changing the ratio in the composition. The sliding contact material is much superior to a conventional sliding contact material in wear resistance, and it produces a very small amount of powder owing to wear and generates hardly noise. The sliding contact material gives a brush contact having more stable contact resistance than a brush contact made of the conventional sliding contact material.

Conventionally, various materials have been used as sliding contact materials, and in particular, Au69-71% by weight is used as a material for brush contacts.
, 4 to 6% by weight of Pt, and 9 to 11% by weight of Ag were widely used.

However, since brush contacts made of this alloy material do not have sufficient hardness, they tend to have poor friction resistance when sliding with the commutator, causing noise generation.

The present invention has been made to eliminate such drawbacks,
The present invention aims to provide a sliding contact material that uses the alloy material as a device and adds a specific material to it to increase hardness and improve coagulation resistance and wear resistance.

The reason why a total of 0.5 to 5 weight % of Si and Zr is added to the alloy material consisting of 15 weight % and Ni 0.5 to 1.5 weight % without changing the composition ratio is as follows. This is to increase the hardness in order to improve the adhesion resistance and wear resistance of the alloy material. If it is less than 0.5% by weight, it will not be effective in increasing the hardness, and if it exceeds 10% by weight, it will be plastically processed. This makes processing difficult.

Next, using the sliding contact material according to the present invention and the conventional sliding contact material having the compositions shown in the left space below, a diameter of 0.7 mm was obtained, respectively.
Brush wire rods were made, each cut into 8 mm lengths, and 2
1 parallel, one end 10mm wide, 13mm long, 0 thick
.. A brush contact was made by welding to a 2 mm base material and bending a 2R arc-shaped contact part at the other end. Then, each brush contact was brought into contact with a disc-shaped commutator, and the commutator was rotated in forward and reverse directions to conduct a sliding test under the following test conditions, and the amount of friction and contact resistance were measured. We obtained the results shown in the figure.

試験条件 電流:0.6A 電圧:12V 負荷:抵抗負荷 回転速度:1000rpm 周速:130〜120m/min 接触力:100g 試験時間:7時間 上記の表で明らかなように実施例1、2の刷子接点は従

Test conditions Current: 0.6A Voltage: 12V Load: Resistance load Rotation speed: 1000rpm Peripheral speed: 130-120m/min Contact force: 100g Test time: 7 hours As is clear from the table above, the brushes of Examples 1 and 2 It can be seen that the contact has significantly less wear than the conventional brush contact, and the contact resistance is low and stable.

This is simply because the sliding contact material of the present invention, which constitutes the brush wire of the brush contacts of Examples 1 to 4, has increased hardness by adding Si and Zr, improving body adhesion and wear resistance. Nothing but empty.
