  1. 透光性セラミック管の両端部を電極を支持するセラミッ
    ク製の閉塞体で封止してなる発光管を有する金属蒸気放
    電灯において、少なくとも一方の電極の下部に一部切欠
    円板状の輻射熱遮断体を取着するとともに、前記閉塞体
    の内面形状を輻射熱遮断体の切欠部に対向する一端部か
    ら他端部に向って下り傾斜面となるように形成したこと
