A pin is placed horizontally on the brake lever, which is rotatable in the front and rear directions in conjunction with the brake pedal, and the tip of a brake rod that protrudes from the brake mechanism is inserted through the pin. At the connecting part between the brake lever and the brake rod, which is provided in such a way that the brake lever and the brake rod are connected by screwing together a nut, there is a pair of retaining pieces in the front and rear, which are formed into a U-shape.
