Generally, this type of puncture includes an aluminum pan portion with an inflatable aluminum lid. This type of container is disclosed in US Pat. No. 2,815,883. Because of aluminum foil's excellent moisture barrier and heat transfer properties, aluminum foil is suitable for use in this type of container used to contain and pop popcorn. In operation, the container is placed over a suitable heat source that brings its contents to a suitable bursting state. As the barge advances, the foil lid expands from its crimped position to make room for the popped popcorn.

In this patent, two sheets of thin metal foil, such as aluminum foil, are fixed together neatly by adhesive or mechanical means to the edges of the plates, and are then held together with their surfaces pressed together. We can get into a relationship. Popcorn is mixed with frying oil and placed 2 pieces side by side.
placed between two foil sheets. The bag is heated in a frying pan and expands upon application of heat so that the upper and lower portions of the somewhat semi-elliptical shape become round or pillow-shaped;
The patent discloses that the inflatable bag may be made in various shapes such as square, round or circular.

The disclosed bag has a bottom portion with integral seven lunges that are foldably attached, and a flexible resin film lid is secured to the seven lunges around a continuous periphery and is completely enclosed. A container is obtained. Since the closed container is formed by the combination of the bottom and the film coating, the bottom is free from moisture,
Renes must not be made of materials that serve as suitable oxygen and fat barriers. Also, the bottom must be constructed of a material capable of forming an effective seal to the film. Therefore, the materials forming the container are relatively expensive and p1 advanced tubes f4. must be added during the forming of the container. Container construction is made more difficult by the necessity of sealing the film to the bottom flange after the bottom is assembled.

It is sealed in a bag made of a flammable synthetic high polymer film that is nearly impermeable to oxygen and is resistant to the temperatures and water vapor that occur when packaged food is heated in a simulator (hereinafter referred to as (referred to as "sealed")) having an expandable food product. The expandable food product is sealed in a circular configuration in the center of the bag. The outer edge of the bag is also heat sealed and formed into a concentric circle to the expandable food product.

The diagonals of the flat protrusion of the polygonal mouth are equal to so. The trench, 1 μm outside, 1 carton or container has a complementary polygonal shaped bottom and sloped side walls forming a through hole and a body. Because the circumference of the bag matches the periphery or opening of the bowl-shaped outer cardboard container or carton that houses the bag,
The bag is completely enclosed in bulk within the bowl-shaped outer cardboard container by folding the non-food portion of the bag over itself. The portion of the bag containing the food is supported by the sloping side walls and polygonal bottom of the container, and the bag is heated and controlled completely within the outside dimensions of the bowl-shaped outer cardboard container. the cooking oil or fat admixed with the expandable food product flows within the bag towards the bottom and along the side walls of the outer container so as to ensure convenient and complete cooking of the food product; enable.

Polyethylene terephthalate has been found to be a particularly effective backing material for this particular purpose due to its low HA properties of oxygen and moisture. Favorable results in storage stability and loss of pack performance upon heating
obtained with polyethylene terephthalate films having thicknesses from about 0.027 wtb to about 0.0254 tmrb. D[Optionally, the polyethylene terephthalate film may be treated by stripping polyvinylidene chloride to improve its oxygen and moisture barrier properties, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate, polychloride May be applied as the outermost layer of vinylidene, saran or nylon and polyethylene terephthalate. It is well known in the art that there are other suitable alternative film materials that can be used, such as polyvinylidene chloride, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride and polypropylene laminates. However, the use of a hollybrobylene terephthalate film is believed to offer an advantageous combination of properties and efficacy.

The inserted tabs 26 of the outer carton 20 are opened to the position shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, and the carton is then placed in a microwave oven for heating. During the heat cycle, the bag or pouch 10 is expanded due to the expansion of the π item 12 within the bag and the release of gases, typically water vapor, from the food product as it heats up. Bank 1 expanded to the tip with fully expanded food without poleward restraint
0 is shown in cross section in FIG. However, when the concentric food 12 is located at the octagonal bottom 22 as shown in FIG. Therefore, the food 12 is also located along the Chita wall 25. Because of these dimensions, the expansion of the bag 10 under heating proceeds as shown in FIG. The bag 1o rises only in the y-vertical direction, and the sides of the bag 1o are constrained by the relatively flexible side pummel 25 of the outer carton 20. In addition, due to the size of the food 12, the cooking fats and oils mixed with the food 12 during heating can be mixed into the entire food when it is heated. += A bowl-like shape goes to the bottom of the bag as if to ensure that the jl filling is completed! It flows down inside the bag 10 along the inclined side walls 25 of 20. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 6, prior to expansion, the outer periphery of the bag 1o is shaped such that the outer carton 2o can be easily expanded and expanded upon heating of the outer container 2o.
It can be easily bent and inserted into the inside of the container.
