Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to automatically change over to a manual insertion of paper supplying mode without any erroneous operation, by providing a platen cover with a switch means for stopping an automatic paper-supplying mechanism in response to a cover-opening operation for manual insertion of supplying paper. CONSTITUTION:In an automatic paper-supplying mode, the platen cover 12 is closed, a switch 16 is in an ON condition, a paper on a stacker 1 is fed to a paper-supplying roller 2, then to the platen 3, and the paper printed is discharged through passages 13, 14 provided between an inner guide plate 7 and the cover 12. To change over to the manual insertion mode, the cover 12 is opened with a shaft 11 as a center, whereby a rib 12' returns by depressing the plate 7 against a spring 6, the other end thereof is brought into communicative contact with a base end of the cover 12 to open a gate 9, and the upper surface of the plate 7 and the surface of the cover 12 form a paper passage to the platen 3. In addition, a pressing element 15 of the guide plate 7 is separated from the switch 16, whereby the automatic paper-supplying mechanism is stopped. Accordingly, the mode can be automatically changed over without any erroneous operation, and the paper can be manually inserted safely.

作によって自動給紙動機構を停止させるスイッチ手段を
関連させ、該動作なく自動的に手挿給紙モードに切換え
、安全に手挿しによる給紙を行わせようとするものであ
る。
