。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a printing method capable of printing any size on a continuous sheet, and more specifically, it relates to a printing method capable of printing any size on a continuous sheet, and more particularly, it relates to a printing method that can print any size within the range of the circumferential size of the plate cylinder of a rotary printing press. In print length,
The present invention relates to a novel printing method that can sequentially perform desired printing on each printing scheduled section of a web or other continuous sheet.

The size of the printing surface is generally determined by the circumferential dimension of the plate cylinder. In other words, it is impossible to print anything larger than the total circumference of the plate cylinder, and it is not possible to print a printing plate whose circumference is less than the total circumference of the plate cylinder.
Although TLF printing is possible, there is a disadvantage that there is a large amount of wasted waste because a margin is created between the IEIJ prints of the continuous sheet 1 every time the plate cylinder rotates. In order to deal with this drawback, the supplied continuous sheets are cut into appropriate sheets using a cutting device, and a printing plate with a size corresponding to the paper size is attached to the plate cylinder. An all-size rotary press for printing has been proposed, but since this is based on the premise of sheet cutting before printing, it cannot be said that it can print on continuous sheets, and it cannot be said to print at high speed. “It is not suitable for the 11th printing.

It is conceivable to replace plate cylinders with circumferential dimensions corresponding to the law each time, but in this case, a desired number of plate cylinders with different circumferential dimensions must be prepared, and the manufacturing cost for monthly LIF will rise. At the same time, the structure of the printing machine becomes complicated and the number of steps involved becomes complicated, making it extremely difficult to realize. In this way, in rotary printing on continuous sheets, the circumferential dimension of the plate cylinder generally determines the printing length on the sheets 1 to 1, so it is possible to print at any printing length (of course within the range of the circumferential dimension of the plate cylinder). ), and it was impossible to perform printing sequentially without creating wasteful margins between each printing.

This has been requested in industry for some time. -For example,
A corrugator line that continuously produces corrugated cardboard uses a long rolled core paper and a liner, and the liner is adhesively laminated to the top of the corrugated corrugated corrugated core paper to produce single-sided corrugated cardboard or Although double-sided corrugated cardboard is manufactured, printing on the resulting corrugated cardboard is not carried out in a corrugator line, but after it is cut to a predetermined size and made into sheet-fed corrugated cardboard. By the way, taking double-sided corrugated cardboard as an example, as shown in FIG.
2 are mutually joined by a core paper 14 with a corrugated core 1-, and the outer liner 10 and the back liner 1
2 becomes Franc 1. However, each liner has a portion a that is supported by the corrugated top portion (so-called peak portion) of the core paper and a so-called valley portion that is not supported by the corrugated top portion. Printing pressure is not applied, which tends to cause shading and color unevenness.

However, apart from cases in which printing is performed repeatedly in accordance with the circumferential dimensions of a cylinder (for example, using a hinoki machine), it is not possible to print on a liner at high speed without creating a margin with an arbitrary printing length. was impossible, and its realization was long awaited.

If this is done, such concerns will be completely eliminated, which is desirable from this point of view as well.

Make it. That is, FIG. 2 shows each mode when printing is performed by the printing method according to the present invention in an intermittent state with time (D to ■), and the symbols 1
Reference numeral 6 indicates a plate cylinder of a rotary printing press, and 18 indicates an arc-shaped printing plate attached to this plate cylinder 16, and the arc length dimension of the printing plate 18 is 1/4 of the circumference dimension πD of the plate cylinder 16. It is assumed that this has been set. Reference numeral 20 indicates a continuous sheet to be printed, and in the plan view of the continuous sheet 20 shown below, the planar state of the continuous sheet 2o is divided by vertical lines. Each section A, B, C
,... are the areas where printing is planned, and by printing in these areas, printed matter A,, B,, C

In addition, in the illustrated case, the dimension in the flow direction of the planned printing area is larger than the actual printing length 1, but in the case of full-page printing, the area dimension is equal to the printing length 1 (■-≧, I2). . In addition, the printing length 1 is the printing plate 1
This approximately corresponds to the arc length dimension (7CD) of No.8.

That is, in FIGS. 2 and 3, the arc length dimension of the tension member 24 is set equal to the dimension in the machine direction of the printing area, and therefore the cylinder 2
It will be understood that if the continuous sheet 20 is rotated in the direction of the arrow and the continuous sheet 20 is pinched by the tension member 24 and the pressure roller 26, the continuous sheet 20 will be intermittently pulled and supplied in the direction of the arrow by the above dimension length. .

All you have to do is perform appropriate timing control. One embodiment of the printing method according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. In FIG. 1-20, clamps the sheet 1-20 together with the pressing roller 26, and starts pulling the sheet 1-20 in the direction of the arrow. At this time, the leading end of the printing plate 18 mounted on the printing cylinder 16 has arrived at a position slightly before the predetermined printing contact position C, but the tip of the printing plate 18 attached to the printing cylinder 16 has reached the position C.

Furthermore, through the processes shown in FIG. 2 (1) to (2), the continuous sheet 20 is stretched and fed by the arc length dimension of the tensioning member 24, and as a result, printed matter A having a printing length of 1 is completed.

However, the plate cylinder 16 and the cylinder 22 (both of which are designed to have the same diameter and rotate at the same speed) continue to rotate regardless of the stoppage of supply of the continuous sheet 20, and again as shown in FIG.
