Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the stickiness of moldings, by adding a chlorinated fatty acid barium salt to a polyvinyl chloride resin contg. a relatively large quantity of a plasticizer in a specified weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:50-200pts.wt. plasticizer such as dibutyl phthalate or dioctyl phthalate and 0.1-10pts.wt. chlorinated fatty acid barium salt are added to 100pts.wt. polyvinyl chloride resin to obtain the desired vinyl chloride resin compsn. By the addition of the chlorinated fatty acid barium salt, the molding is freed from the problem of surface tackiness which is caused by the addition of the plasticizer to the vinyl chloride resin. An example of the chlorinated fatty acid barium salt is PG-500 B (a product of Tokyo Fine Chemicals K.K.).

However, depending on the application, it has the disadvantage that the surface tends to become sticky, and there has been a demand for a material that does not have a sticky surface. To meet this requirement, there are methods to use plasticizers that have good compatibility with vinyl chloride resin, methods to reduce the amount added by using plasticizers with high plasticization efficiency, and methods to use inorganic fillers such as calcium carbonate, talc, and clay. Possible methods include blending a large amount of the agent.

In view of this situation, the present inventors conducted intensive studies in order to find a vinyl chloride resin composition free from the above-mentioned drawbacks, and as a result, the Ba salt of chlorinated fatty acid was added to 0.1 to 10
They discovered that by adding part by weight, a non-sticky molded product can be obtained and completed the invention. An object of the present invention is to provide a vinyl chloride resin composition that provides a non-sticky molded article.

In the composition of the present invention, the plasticizer is added to soften the obtained molded product, and is considered to be one of the causes of stickiness. The amount added varies depending on the intended use of the molded product, but if it is less than 50 parts, it will be sufficiently absorbed into the polyvinyl chloride resin and the molded product will have less stickiness. However, if the amount exceeds 100 parts by weight, the degree of stickiness increases in proportion to the amount added, and especially if it exceeds 100 parts by weight, stickiness is unavoidable unless Ba salt of chlorinated fatty acid is added. Moreover, if it exceeds 200 parts by weight, dry-up properties during production will be extremely poor, causing many practical problems.

Examples of such plasticizers include alkyl esters of aromatic polybasic acids such as dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, and butylbenzyl phthalate; alkyl esters of aliphatic polybasic acids such as dioctyl adipate, dioctyl acetate, and dioctyl sebacate; Examples include alkyl esters of phosphoric acid such as resin phosphate, polyesters, and the like.
