Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute exactly recording and reproducing by electrophotography and to prevent evaporation of blip mark ink, by embedding a picture detecting mark in the part which is not exposed to the outside of an electrophotographic photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:Blip marks 71, 72- are printed by printing ink so as to correspond to a frame position for recording picture information, on a conductive body layer 32 applied on a supporting body layer 31. In this case, an interval of the marks is an interval of the frames. In this way, the mark is printed at a prescribed position on the conductive body layer 32, and thereafter, a recording layer 33 consisting of a photoconductive body is applied, by which the marks 71, 72- are embedded so as not to be exposed to the outside. The electrophotographic device detects optically this mark so that picture information is recorded in the corresponding frame position, therefore, a prearranged number of pictures can be recorded exactly in a block and also the mark is detected and counted at the time of reproducing, too, by which desired picture information can be selected exactly.

Microfilm systems are widely used as systems for accumulating and recording image information (all information that can be optically recorded, such as text, graphics, photographs, etc.). Microfilm uses silver halide photographic material or diazo photosensitive material to record a large amount of image information on a long roll film, sheet-like microfiche, aperture card incorporated into a card, etc. Roll film and film are particularly popular as they have a large capacity to store information in terms of space. Roll film has the advantage of being able to record a large amount of image information on one roll, but since the information for one roll must be recorded all at once, this advantage can only be used when there is a large amount of information. There is a drawback. Also, since information for the length of one line is recorded sequentially during recording, if different types of information are recorded randomly, searching becomes troublesome, so information of the same type is organized and recorded. There is also the issue of having to do so.

Therefore, while recording using roll film, this roll film was cut into short lengths equal to the length of the fish.
A method of creating a fish by sequentially inserting it into a jacket of the size of the fish has been proposed and is becoming popular. In this method, the number of frames that must be photographed at once is equal to the length of the fish (12 frames), and in this respect, it is more advantageous than (a) recording on the fish of each frame because it has fewer restrictions. If the number of frames required for continuous shooting is not reached, the remaining frames will be wasted, but in this case, this method has the advantage of minimizing the number of wasted frames.

However, this type of jacketed microfiche method, or the traditional fish method,
Compared to the case of long roll films, the number of information carriers to be stored (i.e., the number of fish sheets relative to the number of roll films) is extremely large (as a result, storage and management are troublesome and space-consuming. However, it is disadvantageous compared to roll film because information is stored in a long film like roll film.The stack is thick, so it may be necessary to record one roll of information continuously when recording (and it is also possible to record information of different types). Even when recording requests occur randomly, it would be very convenient in practice if there was something that could organize and record them by type.

However, with a microfilm system using conventional silver salt photographic materials, it is almost impossible to meet the above requirements. For example, in the case of silver halide photographic materials, any exposed or unexposed but developed areas will no longer be able to record information in those areas. Therefore, after recording information (image exposure, development, and fixing) using a roll film partially, the remaining unexposed/undeveloped parts that are not recorded are recorded without being exposed. It is necessary to place the portion on a reader for playback and use it for projection, etc., but it is extremely difficult to completely shield the unrecorded portion from light for projection during use, and there is no blank space. This is because, when the film is replaced with a portion left intact, it is extremely difficult to completely shield the unrecorded portion from light during replacement or storage. In particular, when a roll film with unrecorded parts is placed on a reader to search for the part to be projected, in order to search without exposing the unrecorded parts to light, it is necessary to rely on a completely non-optical search method. First, it is extremely disadvantageous both in terms of equipment and in practice, and the fact that it is not possible to feed the microfilm one frame at a time and visually search for it is of little value as a practical device.

Furthermore, if you advance the frame while reading with a reader without knowing that there is an unrecorded part after the last frame of the photographed part, that part will be exposed.To prevent this, Even if various methods are possible, they all require tedious additional work during imaging;
This is almost impossible in practice.

For this reason, by using the electrophotographic method, the above-mentioned convenient 1. ? In the electrophotographic method, the photosensitive material can be reused by cleaning it regardless of whether it is exposed or unexposed, and even after development or before fixing, so there is no need for light shielding ( , it is possible to use a photosensitive material that has been partially recorded and left an unrecorded portion.Therefore, it is possible to partially record image information on a roll film electrophotographic photosensitive material and record the remaining portion. It is possible to leave the unrecorded part as is and use it for playback, and then record additional information on the unrecorded part when the need arises.Take advantage of this point by using roll film. , and an information recording method using electrophotography has been proposed that allows recording requests for different types of information to be organized and recorded by type even if requests for recording of different types of information occur randomly. The electrophotographic light-sensitive material is divided into a predetermined number of blocks, and for each divided block, image information of the classification determined for that division is recorded sequentially from the beginning for the required number of frames, and the remaining frames are left as they are. This roll film is used.When additional information needs to be recorded, the information is added to the unrecorded hook part of the additional information classification block in the roll film block. This is what I did.

By the way, in the above-mentioned electrophotographic recording/reproducing system, when display frames and image information are recorded, marks for screen detection (blip marks) are attached to the frames corresponding to the frames. In FIG. 1, rectangular blip marks 51n and 61n+1 are attached below display frames 2n and 2n+ so as to correspond to the frame positions, and frame 3□ of image information recorded on the photosensitive material 1, Blip marks 52n, 62n+□+63n+1 are attached below 4□ and 4□, respectively. These blip marks are made one by one along the side of the photosensitive material 1 using printing ink in parallel with the recording of each frame, and the blip marks are recorded on the photosensitive material 1 by detection of the blip marks. The position of each piece is detected reliably. However, if the blip mark is to be printed in parallel with the recording of image information on the photosensitive material 1, the only way is to print the blip mark on the surface of the photosensitive material 10, and the third

In this way, when the print marks (341, 342, 343) exposed on the surface of the photosensitive material roughness are printed, the photoconductive layer is eroded by the influence of the vaporized components (residual solvent, etc.) and the photosensitive material is damaged. Since the material gap is wound like a roll film, there is a drawback that the printing ink of the blip mark is attached to the photographic material on other surfaces. Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide an electrophotographic recording medium that does not have the above-mentioned drawbacks.

Therefore, in an electrophotographic device, it is only necessary to optically detect these already recorded blip marks and record image information at the corresponding frame position, so that the number of pre-recorded blip marks can be recorded in the above-mentioned block. Not only can images be reliably recorded, but also when reproducing recorded image information, by detecting and counting these blip marks, desired image information can be reliably selected and reproduced. Since the blipmark is embedded within the photosensitive material, there is no danger of erosion or adhesion to other surfaces, making its detection particularly safe and reliable.

In the above embodiment, the blip mark is printed on the conductor layer 32 in advance, but it is also possible to apply the conductor layer 32 after printing the blip mark on the support layer 31. It is also possible to provide a blip mark inside the recording layer, and it is sufficient if the blip mark is not exposed to the outside of the electrophotographic photosensitive material. Also,
Although the blip mark has a rectangular shape in the above description, it may have any shape (for example, an ellipse or a triangle).

As described above, according to the electrophotographic material of the present invention,
Blip marks are pre-prepared at the frame positions to be recorded, and are buried in areas that are not exposed to the outside, so recording and playback using electrophotography can be performed reliably, and the vaporized components of the grip mark ink can be prevented. Even when used on a roll film, the inconvenience of printing ink adhering to other surfaces does not occur. Furthermore, instead of printing, for example, a light-scattering line may be provided on the support.
