), the amount of light emitted from the side surface or plane of the light emitting diode is extremely greater than the amount of light emitted from the ridge, so that the light emitted by the light emitting diode is observed to have a distorted shape as shown in C of the same figure.

路を形成する歪が発光ダイオードに生じ不都合である。In addition, the recess 2 is generally made to have a depth of 50 to 500 μm by chemical etching such as etching, but when attempting to form a deep recess, the wall surface is hollowed out (a in the same figure), so the periphery is removed during the installation work of the light emitting diode. The protrusions γ, 7 tend to come into contact with the light emitting diode, causing distortion in the light emitting diode that forms a leakage current path that does not contribute to light emission, which is inconvenient.
又浅い凹部を形成しようとすると底面が凹凸となり発光
ダイオードの固定が不安定となる。Furthermore, if a shallow recess is attempted to be formed, the bottom surface will become uneven, making it unstable to fix the light emitting diode.

In reality, light is scattered by the transparent resin, so it is not possible to obtain a clear outline as shown in the figure.

It becomes difficult to keep the light emitting diode 3 horizontal and fix it, and in most cases it is fixed tilted as shown in the figure.

In general, the opening end of the recess has a polygonal corner formed by a part of a circle, so the bottom surface of the recess is flat, making it easier to install the light emitting diode. In addition, the light emitting state does not become distorted.
