Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled remedy, easily applicable to affected parts, and capable of increasing the remedial effect without giving an irritation to the affected parts, by pulverizing a marsh snail under heating, and mixing the resultant powder with sulfur, and adding sesame oil thereto. CONSTITUTION:A marsh snail with the shell is heated and pulverized or pulverized and heated. The marsh snail is heated by the direct fire or in a roasting machine to such an extent as to remove completely the moisture or volatile substances in the living body. The pulverization is carried out by a suitable pulverizing means to give an almost coarse or fine powdery particulate powder. 100pts.wt. resultant roasted powder of the marsh snail is kneaded with 100- 200pts.wt. sulfur, and the resultant kneaded material is then mixed with 80- 10pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. powder of the marsh snail, sesame oil, and further kneaded to give the aimed remedy for skin diseases. The resultant remedy is very effective for damages on the skin surface, e.g. scores after the skin burns, eczemas, scores of chilblains, etc.

Conventionally, various products have been used to treat skin diseases such as skin sores after burns and skin eczema, but those that contain chemically synthesized drugs as active ingredients often cause side effects on the skin after application. Furthermore, when natural products are used as active ingredients, there are drawbacks such as the effects are still far from being sufficient.

Therefore, the present inventor conducted various studies with the aim of obtaining a therapeutic agent for skin diseases that does not have these drawbacks, and found that a heated and crushed product of Kawanina, a type of freshwater mollusk, does not cause any irritation to the skin and is effective against skin diseases. Sulfur was found to completely cure the disease.
