Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate informtion of an area to be detected, and to recognize easily a pattern, by integrating a color separation video tricolor signal of a picture which is subjected to image pickup by a color image pickup means every each color, and deriving a ratio of each integral value and the sum total of integral values of the three colors, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An area to be detected of an article is subjected to image pickup by an industrial color TV3, is inputted to a pattern recognizing circuit 4, and analog color separation video signals R, G and B are digitized by an A/D converter 5. Each of said IR, IG and IB is integrated by an integrator 6, integral values SR, SG and SB are added to a normalizing circuit 7, each of them is divided by its sum, normlized outputs RR, RG and RB are provided to a comparing and deciding device 8. The normalied outputs RR, RG and RB are compared with a value of a standard pattern memory 9 by this deciding device 8, and in case when its difference is smaller than an output DR of an allowable value setting device 10, a belonging pattern name SO is outputted. In this way, information of an area to be detected is discriminated, and its discrimination is executed easily.

成されており、各走査線は前記赤、緑、青によって決定
される色彩を有する絵素によって構成されている。演算
回路4では、工業用カラーテレビカメラ3から得られた
各絵素毎の赤、緑、青の色分解映像三原色信号IR。
